Summer 2019 Internship

Details:

  • June 1st through September 1st (earlier start date available)

  • 10 to 15 hours per week

  • $10.50 - $15 per hour DOE

  • 0-2 years social media marketing or related experience

  • Contract,1099

My goal for the Summer 2019 is to build out a 9-month calendar and improve my current strategy for one of my clients, and I plan to bring an aspiring social media marketer/entrepreneur along with me for the journey.

The vision is to break the project up into 3 phases, as I believe this will be most beneficial to an intern learning to create and implement a strategic social media plan from start to finish. My mission is for the intern selected to create a strong case study to add to their portfolio after the internship is completed.

Internship Timeline:

Phase 1 - Audit and review current strategy.

Phase 2 - Develop an updated strategy, create a 9-month social media plan, write out an editorial calendar.

Phase 3 - Create and schedule out content.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and critique current social media strategy

  • Work closely with me to create a strategic social media plan for client

  • Help develop a social media calendar and schedule out based on strategic plan

  • Write engaging, on-brand captions aligned with goals

  • Engage and cultivate relationships with online audience through community management

The ideal candidate:

  • LOVES creating communities online and is passionate about social media marketing

  • Has a special interest in entrepreneurship and small business, ideally plans be self-employed in the future

  • Is able to self-motivate and work independently
